It is proven that dance is good for not just your health but also your mind and it also improves social skills.
As New Mexico Salsa Congress we look to bring all those together in one. In the past we have provided free dance education, along with a place to practice and improve your skills with our monthly social.
This social usually takes place at our venue located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The venue known as La Bodega is located at 708 1st street in a parking lot across from the cell theater.
We have also been known to take our social on the road with the help of our entertainment partner Fuego Consulting Entertainment and restaurant hosts Dave and Busters, Poki Poblano and B2B Tacos to create an amazing evening of dancing. Not only did we help introduce a new group to the salsa dance scene but we also helped bring new revenue into those establishments.
Salsa is commonly known in the dancing world. It is already known and many dances to it not just in the Latin places but also in the United States. That is because it is traced that salsa began in the state of New York in the middle of the 1970s. The dance and the music have been traced together. This is a social dance and so you can see it being a dance in bars and public places. There is also a competition held regularly.
It is listed that it also originates In the Santiago de Cuba in Guantanamo in the part of the eastern section of Cuba. It has also traced from the Afro-Cuban dance like the rumba from an Afro-Cuban origin.
